Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team

The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team is a fully voluntary organisation which responds to mountain incidents for those in need on Snowdon and the surrounding mountains. The team is on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and relies on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service.

He was also waiting for me at the end point which was perfect.

A year ago a two of my mates used Miguel after they finished their Welsh 3000's and rightfully gave him a 5 star rating after finding them in a random un-named car park at the bottom of Drum and directed them to food at 1am.
Back in June I joined one of them to complete the 3000's again, this time we booked Miguel for a pick up (as per his suggestion), he even remembered where the car park was from the year before!
Miguel knows the roads like the back of his hand and we were back at our car before we knew it (possibly because we slept for most of the journey).
We will be using him again for sure, see soon Miguel!!
The week leading up to our collection Miguel was in regular contact with us sharing advice on the challenge logistics, confirming pick up times and location and just reassuring us everything was in place for us.
Miguel has so much knowledge and experience of the Snowdonia region and this made our challenge preparation so much smoother.
Throughout the event itself Miguel asked that we messaged him at various points to ensure we were safe and well and did not require any further help or assistance. Fair to say this was miles above and beyond any “regular” taxi company or driver.
Miguel is such a kind soul and a real gentlemen. His passion and desire for us to complete the Welsh 3000’s was remarkable and we really felt that he was looking out and thinking of us the whole 24 hours.
